SightSync is a performance installation that explores the impact of responsive environments on sustained eye contact. Participants are seated opposite one another in specialised furniture that orients their bodies toward face-to-face contact. Ambient lighting and visual projections start evolving in response to their mutually held gaze, creating a dance of light and shadow driven by the silent, yet powerful language of eye contact.

Utilising tools such eye tracking technology, SightSync seeks to create an adaptive environment based on high accuracy capture and tracking of eye movement. The project explores how spatial intimacy and connection can be made through non-verbal, non-haptic, and non-gestural means. Furthermore, it seeks to understand how technology can enhance rather than alienate human contact, challenging participants to engage in a world beyond words where emotions are communicated through the gaze.
